KCPE

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) is a national examination in Kenya that is administered by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC). It is taken by students at the end of their primary school education, typically around the age of 14 years. The KCPE examination assesses students’ knowledge and skills in subjects such as Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Science, Social Studies, and Religious Education.

The KCPE results are crucial as they determine which secondary schools students can apply to and are admitted into. The grading scale ranges from A (highest) to E (lowest), with students needing a minimum grade of D (or 200 marks out of a possible 500) to be considered for admission to public secondary schools.

The KCPE examination plays a significant role in the educational system of Kenya, shaping the academic future of students based on their performance in this national assessment.
