To delete a SKIZA tune, you can send an SMS to the number 811 with the word “DELETE” followed by the SKIZA code of the tune you want to delete. For instance, you can send “DELETE 5050005” to 811 to remove the tune. However, please note that Safaricom will not offer any refund for the deletion of SKIZA tunes that are deleted before the lapse of the tone validity period.

Skiza Tune Charges and Price

Please note that for every purchase of a SKIZA tune the following charges will apply:

– A content fee of Kshs. 1.50 daily will be charged for each local SKIZA tune, and Kshs. 1.50 daily for each international SKIZA tune. The Safaricom SKIZA portal already marks the SKIZA Tunes as local or international.

– For Interactive Voice Access, an access fee of Kes.3.00 per minute will be charged, with per-second billing to access IVR.

– If you access the service using Safaricom data cards or your phone browser and web, the related charges will apply.

– To access SKIZA tunes through SMS, you will be charged Kes.1.00.

Please note that you will only be charged for each SKIZA tune once the upload is successful. IVR and searches for the SKIZA Tunes Service will be charged at the point of request for the SKIZA tune.

If you do not have enough funds in your account to cover the SKIZA tune fee of Kshs. 1.50 or Kshs. 1.50 daily, the tone purchase will fail. However, all applicable access fee charges relating to the failed purchase will still apply.

Bonga Points cannot be used to purchase ringback tones. However, you can purchase ringback tones using Okoa Jahazi airtime.

How to Request for the SKIZA Tunes Service

To purchase SKIZA tunes from Safaricom, you can use any of the following methods:

1. USSD – Dial *811# and follow the prompts.

2. Interactive Voice Response – Dial 811 and follow the voice prompts.

3. SMS – Send an SMS with the keyword ‘SKIZA’ and the code of the SKIZA tune you want to purchase to 811. For example, SKIZA 5000001.

4. Internet – Log on to safaricom.co.ke (including WAP).

Transfer of SKIZA Tunes

When you purchase SKIZA tunes through the SKIZA tune Service, you can only transfer them to another line using two methods:

1. Gifting:

You have the option to gift a SKIZA tune that you have purchased to another Safaricom subscriber. Once the recipient accepts the gift, you will be charged Kshs. 1.50 for a local tune and Kes 1.50 for non-music and international tunes.

2. Express Copy:

You can copy the SKIZA tune of the person that you are calling by dialing 11 when their ring tone is playing. Once you successfully copy the SKIZA tune, you will be charged Kshs. 1.50 for a local SKIZA tune and Kes 1.50 for non-music and international tunes.
